TREASURE TOWNE GENERAL FAQs:
Where are you located?
Treasure Towne is in the Pleasant View Business Center . The physical address is 3930 W. 5th Street , Unit D2, Post Falls , Idaho 83854 . We are located a stones throw from I-90 at Exit 2, right next to McDonald’s. Right now our space is under construction but we do have our banner on the south side of the building.
When are you going to open?
Hmmm…that’s good question. Our original plan was to open around April 1st. That plan had to be rescheduled because of our request for ADA (handicapped) bathrooms. The plans had to be submitted to the permits department by a licensed architect. With that said, it looks like we may get keys around May 15th. At that point we will need to get our business equipment set up as well as the partitions built for the vendors. OK, I’m winded. Tentative opening to the public, Friday, June 6th, 2008. Watch for our balloons.
Do you take credit cards or debit cards?
Yes, we will have a credit card processor. There will be a 5% fee to the buyer for the use of a credit card or debit card.
What is your community involvement?
Treasure Towne plans on being very active when it comes to our community. We plan on developing special events to benefit several organizations, including, but not limited to, animal shelters, food banks, the scouts, blankets for the homeless, Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, Veterans, etc. Ideas are always appreciated.
Is There an Admission Charge to go into Treasure Towne?
We get asked this question quite a lot and the answer is NO. We would prefer you spend your money with one of our vendors when you find "that special treasure".. There is NO admission charge to get into Treasure Towne.
TREASURE TOWNE VENDOR FAQs:
Do I have to be there all the time?
No. We understand that sometimes people need to do other things, especially family things. That is why we are asking that all of your items be priced using a pricing gun so we can read your price tag and vendor number. If you are not there and someone wants to buy one of your items, it will go through central check-out and the bookkeeper will get 10%.
Do you take consignments?
No. At this time we have no provisions for taking on consignment items.
Do you have restrictions on what I can sell?
Yes, but I will have to qualify this Q&A. Treasure Towne is not narrowing the types of items vendors can sell to one or two venues, such as, handmade crafts, antiques, etc. We really like to have an eclectic variety of goods for our shoppers, but we do forbid the sale certain items such as guns, explosives, etc. This information is clarified in our Rules and Regulations which is available at any time. Just ask one of the Treasure Towne Team for a copy.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes, we are a very family oriented group, but we are a business and want to present ourselves professionally. So, we require that all children under the age of 14 be supervised at all times.
Can I rent a half of a booth?
Right now we have two half-booth spaces available. One is 6’ X 10’ and rents for $30 a weekend. The other is a little smaller at 5’ X 10’ and will rent for $25 a weekend. If these booths are not rented we may divide them up and rent partial wall space or display racks.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes, we will have a credit card processor. There will be a 5% fee to the buyer for the use of a credit card.
Can I use my Visa to pay rent?
After the first month we will accept credit cards for rent with no additional fees to the vendors.
Can I leave my booth set up from week to week?
If you have paid for the next weekend, yes, you can. Exceptions may be made on an individual, case by case basis. The Treasure Towne Team will review the situation as a group and make a decision.
Can I share the booth with other people?
Yes, you can. We will assign each person in the booth a specific vendor number in case your items go through central checking. That way you can track individual sales.
Do I have to use the pricing gun?
We strongly encourage the use of our pricing guns, but understand that some people have their own way of pricing, ie, computer labels, hand held labelers, etc. We just want everyone to know that we will not process an item through central check-out if we cannot read the price or the vendor number.
Are you going to advertise?
Yes, Yes, Yes. Advertising will be done on a weekly basis using multiple papers, the website search engine, car magnets, business cards, postcards, flyers, and when possible radio and TV.
What is your community involvement?
Treasure Towne plans on being very active when it comes to our community. We plan on developing special events to benefit several organizations, including, but not limited to, animal shelters, food banks, the scouts, blankets for the homeless, Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, etc. Ideas are always appreciated.
If my items go through central check-out, when will I get my money?
Bookkeeping will be done after the close of business on Sunday. Checks will be available for pick-up on the following Thursday. Your check can be picked up any time after noon on Thursday or we can mail it to you.
Last Minute Q & A's
QUESTION------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the new layout it looks as though there is now a partition between the back booths and the bathrooms, whereas previously there was not one. Is this how it will be now? We are just trying to figure out how many open sides we will have.
And which sides are the 10' and which are the 8' (I can see on the layout one side is slightly shorter than then other, but I don't know if the layout is to scale or not, so thought I would ask).
ANSWER----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, the layout is to scale. The side toward the bathrooms is the 10' side and, you're right, there is a partition there now. A couple of people remarked that they didn't want to look into the bathrooms so I added partitions to the whole back side of those booths to make a walkway. We are going to put bulletin boards on that back wall for advertising and announcements.
QUESTION---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was reading on the FAQ page about pricing of items. In the meeting it was stated we had to use the pricing guns you would provide. But on the FAQ it seems as though we no longer have to do this - as long as our vendor # and price is clearly listed - typed not handwritten. Is this now how it will be?
ANSWER-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It has been decided that ANY way you want to do price labels will be fine, even handwritten, as long as the vendor number and the price is clearly printed. I know people want to start pricing their items; this just seemed to be the best solution. I will interject here that if handwritten prices or vendor numbers are not legible the vendor will BE REQUIRED to redo them using the pricing gun. This is for the benefit of the vendors. I know everyone wants to get their correct amount of money.
If you would like to use one of our pricing guns, they are available for use with a $20 deposit (off site) or you can use them any time (no fee) at Treasure Towne. We now have an ample supply of removable price stickers. Just let one of the team know. We also have white, yellow and green hang tags for your use if you need them.
QUESTION--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am sharing a booth with two other people. What vendor number should we use?
ANSWER-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We will be assigning separate vendor numbers to each vendor. That way, central check-out will be able to sort the monies taken in by each vendor.
QUESTION--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can I pick the day I move in?
ANSWER----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are going to do everything we can to make the move-in as smooth as possible. A Treasure Towne team member will be contacting everyone with our schedule and setting this up. We will also be confirming, or assigning, vendor numbers.
And finally ~ the two most asked questions we get:
QUESTION------------------------------------------------------
Can a booth space at Treasure Towne be rented just for one (1) weekend??
ANSWER----------------------------------------------------------
YES - You can rent the vendor booth space for only one (1) weekend. That means that you setup on Thursday afternoon between 12-4PM and you tear down Sunday afternoon after 5PM. Your Booth space is both vacated and clean when we lockup on Sunday evening.
Question----------------------------------------------------------
Does Treasure Towne provide tables and chairs for vendor spaces??
ANSWER------------------------------------------------------------------
No ~ Treasure Towne only rents the Space for the vendor. What goes in that space is up to the individual vendor.
